I don’t suppose there are many people who will thank Covid for anything. I am the exception My husband has dementia and he developed a urine infection and was in hospital with this for a few days before being discharged. He didn’t know he had Covid and unfortunately was readmitted to hospital for 6 weeks When he was in hospital I was told that he was very ill and there was nothing else they could do for him but they were trying another anti biotic but they weren’t optimistic of recovery. However, he recovered and was admitted to wood norton for assessment and rehabilitation. He looked ill, he needed a hoist ,he needed a special soft diet, he couldn’t walk unaided his voice was so weak. He has dementia and at home he would just sit and watch tv or sleep. Life was not good for him. We couldn’t go for a walk he was so weak. He has been in Woodnorton since the end of December and the difference in him now is nothing short of miraculous. He is happy, he looks well he takes part in the activities,he says the food and the staff are wonderful. His room is lovely and he enjoys the company of the other residents. The village itself is amazing and I am viewing one of their apartments with the idea of selling our large property and moving there to be nearer to him. I could bring him home but the thought of taking him away from this wonderful place and the staff to be bored again is not really an option. This is all during lockdown so I can’t wait to see him again and experience the wonderful facilities. Thank you to Donna,Jess,and Lisa and all of the staff for giving me back my husband I have no hesitation in recommending Wood Norton care home to any one

What an amazing village! Well planned and located at higher site overlooking the Pershore and Evesham countryside. Retirement Village to be proud of were the elderly feel comfortable and dignified. The ensuite bathrooms and entire bedrooms are second to none. Even when visiting a relative no guilt trip but will be filled with proud.
