Five stars isn't enough. Double it, at the very least. Due to an accident when I was a toddler, I've been seeing eye doctors since I was four, and Dr. Hopkins has been one of the best ones I've come across. I recommend him to - literally - everyone I meet who is looking for an optometrist. I just wish I could pack him and his office people to take with me when I move!

I haven't had an eye exam in years, glad I went to Dr. Hopkin! He and his technicians were so nice and made it so easy for me to get the right strength for my eyes! Very good customer service and I would recommend to go to this clinic.

DO NOT get an eye exam with her. From the very first day I told her I couldn’t see as clear as my other eye and she blamed my astigmatism on it, which was actually wrong. She refused to redo my exam because she said it was normal to see BLURRY with an eye with astigmatism. I’ve been wearing contacts for over ten years and had never had that big of an issue with it. I wasn’t going to write a bad review until I found out she did the exact same thing with my parents who got theirs at totally different dates (no connection between each other). She gave them wrong prescriptions, my dad was constantly getting headaches, and my mother would see things a lot closer and couldn’t drive with them on because it’d throw her off. They both called and not only was she rude to them, but refused to recheck/do another eye exam. Instead she told them to just get new glasses with good quality... They both ordered theirs inside Costco.....

Our family has happily used Excel eye for several years, but now they do not accept our vision plan - Davis Vision for Federal employees - super disappointed that they would stop providing care and services for government employees, because they don’t pay as much as other vision plans... are you serious

Honestly shocked by how low the reviews are for Dr. Hopkin! It looks like a lot of those have to do with an inability to get ahold of the receptionist, but they've implemented a text-scheduling system in the last couple of months and it works really well! Dr. Hopkin is great - super thorough and makes absolutely sure that you're happy with your prescription! I've had to go to other optometrists when I was away at school, and I can't tell you the number of times I ended up going back because something was ultimately off with the script. Dr. Hopkin explained to me why I was having the vision problems that I was with my old script, and worked with me to fix the issue! Plus he's very understanding of budget/personal preference, and gave me great recommendations for cheap online places to buy glasses. He also gave me the pupillary distance which you need to order glasses online, but a lot of places won't give it to you willingly. My parents go here as well, and my dad was telling me that when he went with my mom for her eye exam, he was so impressed by Dr. Hopkin that he asked for an appointment for himself and they fit him in right then and there! Honestly great and friendly service all around.
