Fabulous breads and when covid over wonderful home cooked meals and pies to die for.

Great pub/cafe/bakery. This breakfast pie served with hash browns, fried egg and lovely fresh bread is a delight. The pie and the bread are made on site and from scratch and it was crammed full of sausage, bacon, tomato, beans and mushroom. The pastry is a really excellent short crust that is slightly crumbly but neither soggy or dry. The pub itself its quite recently renovated, the proprietors are very friendly and rightly proud of their fare and it manages to pull off the slightly surreal combination of pub and bakery (you can buy cakes, bread and pastries from the bakery counter). I'll be going back to try the dinner pies and also the all-you-can-eat breakfast on Friday mornings for around 7.

Friendly staff, with lovely coffee and cake in a very covid safe environment. Pies looked lovely too!

A great pub, 3 minute walk from Jury's Inn. Huge. Very welcoming & easy-going staff. Good music played in background. Amazing \fish n chips\ meal for 8,35. (See photo). Homemade batter. Excellent tarter sauce. Friendly patrons. Thank you, Clifton Inn! Thanx to the chef!

Pie was great but... What are you spraying your tables with? So sticky not only did my skin stick to them but my clothes too! Cold compared to most other bars, no atmosphere. Bar staff arguing with kitchen staff. Service kinda felt pushed rather than natural. If you live to eat pie, go here, else don't. I do commend them on enforcing the covid guidelines, however. I'd be happy to try again in future if the constructive criticism is handled well and actioned.
