I did a consumer proposal(credit consolidation) and was told that it wouldn't hurt my credit as bad as bankruptcy. Not only did it hurt my credit as bad as bankruptcy that was what they put it down as on my credit report. I got no help trying to get this issue fixed. And the one bank is still reporting missed payments on my credit report even tho this happened 2 years ago. Once again I got no help getting that fixed or stopped. Do not deal with these people. They tell you what you want to hear to get you to sign on the dotted line, but don't want to do anything to help you after.
