As of January 2021, the waiting time was 2009 days. That is about 5.5 years. The staff on the phone scold you for calling, and everyone just shrugs their shoulders unable to help you with anything under this false premise of there being no staff- when there are definitely staff as all of them offer private treatments. Having been able to raise funds to obtain a diagnosis and receive HRT in 5 months, and be on a shared care agreement for my prescriptions to be on the NHS, and there is literally no movement in waiting times. In 2020, understanding covid causing delays, should not have impacted them so hard that they were only able to process TWO people. All 7 gender clinics are in similar positions. More people being added to the list should not at all cause delays for those already waiting. Desired waiting time according to NHS: 18 weeks (126 days) Waiting time I was given in early 2018: 18 months (548 days) So please tell me how people who have been on the list two years longer than me are STILL WAITING. We have been failed. Please- regardless of political stance, email your local MP about this, get as many people to email their MPs, we need to make MORE NOISE. #translivesuk on twitter. Please, someone who has the power to be heard, why won't you speak for us??

still waiting for a first appointment and its been 5 years, no news on when that will be. the only thing they offer in the wait time is to see a counsellor but if you've been refered far way from them its useless.

Incredibly poor ive been waiting nearly 4 years now, they do not keep you informed regarding when your 1st appointment is going to be. When i contact them they just say more people have been added to the list so you have too wait longer. Surely i was before the new people being added so why am i being pushed back. The Laurels are soul destroying, have no respect in trying to understand and keeping people upto date unless you push. They blame the government which i understand to a point but they can phone or email you... I am taking myself off their list.. Good luck to anyone waiting for the Laurels.

current waiting time estimates are 193 weeks, thats 44 months. Just go to a private GIC, steer clear of this shambles of a clinic. Lately, they are refusing to answer questions about wait times, perhaps out of shame.

The team at the Laurels were great and very helpful in my transition. 5 months post op I look back with fond memories during my time there.

After over 3 years of waiting and no contact I'm being brave and taking myself off the waiting list. No one should have to wait in isolation so long. Thank you for your time. Please talk with people on the phone. Don't just refer to your website. Very inhumane.

Lovely and friendly people, I've been seeing them for around 3-4 years now and the staff and councillors and supportive and friendly. It's easy to find and has a warm and welcoming environment.
