Exmouth is lovely thankfully spared much of the modern development that disfigure so many similar resorts. The long esplanade is a delight and in the right conditions the sun setting in the west a joy. Make an effort and there is much to enjoy. A gentle walk along the shore towards Orcombe Point to view the Geoneedle is rewarding but the pearl of Exmouth is its Tourist Information office. There you will find helpful friendly staff for whom nothing is to much trouble.The office is easily found close to the Taxi Rank and Indoor Market on the edge of the Strand.It is thanks to them I found The Exmouth Blue Plaque Heritage Trail. Blue Plaques are fixed at various locations to commemorate Exmouth's many former residents their homes and other historical features.There are no less than 33 of them but do not let that deter you all are found in a small area in the centre of town.My thanks to Tourist Information for making my day and ensuring I will return to enjoy Exmouth
