We arrived at Our caravan on Gorse Hill, and we we're taken aback by the beautiful view we had so we were really excited to see inside our van....It looked OK until we put the kettle on and thats when it all when downhill, The cups were filthy, upon checking the rest of the pots and pans WELL OMG....the grill pan still had fat in and the plates were manky, We had to go to the Nearby Tesco and buy Milton sanitiser tablets to clean everythingand sterilise it all. Oh on a little plus note the glasses were clean . There we're finger prints over the tv screen....Dust everywhere. Beds were OK, sheets very clean, sofas need a good clean as one arm was black.....toilet brush in the master ensuite had poo in it !!! NOW I know the van was cheap at 377 but my god DON'T YOU CLEAN YOUR VANS ??????? this as put us off going with Newmans again which is a big shame.

Have just returned from our usual yearly break in Ivy Close 1 caravan. Nothing too untowardly wrong, just things that are the same as when we first came 3 years ago, that are easily fixable. Firstly, neither blind in bathroom or kitchen are ever dusted. In fact I set about dusting the bathroom one myself. Secondly, all the shelves in cupboards, where cups and plates are, and display shelves are very dusty. Thirdly, the pull out bed setter has not closed properly for the last 2 visits ( by the way we don't use it it is left like that). Fourthly, the new tv, that we were informed by a maintenance man, hadn't been tuned in at all, so my hubby had to spend an hour or so tuning it in Fifthly, the curtain at the back of the single seater by the settee everytime it is pulled you pull the curtain hooks off the rail as it has nothing on the end to stop it. I would suggest Newmans don't associate themselves with The Tythe Cottage either as the Gentleman that runs it is an very unpleasant person. Why he works in hospitality I do not know. We only popped over last Monday the 21st to ask him if he was open and about booking. To which he rudely said 'No' and turned his back. Apparently he only opens up when he feels like it. Ask a taxi driver from there about him, they will tell you. As I said, these are all easily fixable. We still really enjoyed our visit. God willing, we hope to enjoy our visit next year.

I stopped at haven Devon cliffs Park, number 7 kestrel way and what a view, its so quiet and peaceful just sitting there with the see veiws from the wrap around decking and even its own little side garden, love it

Never made it to our caravan as the park was closed during the covid-19 lockdown. Contacted customer services for a refund and they refused claiming that trading standards rules were guidance and that the holiday wasn't cancelled it just wasn't available on our dates and we'd need to rebook. Had to get a charge back from my credit card in the end! Terrible customer service and bully tactics. Avoid at all costs!

Devon Cliffs; booked through Newmans. Having booked a holiday let through Newmans for a leisure caravan, we were upgraded to a Supreme Lodge with Verander due to an oversight with the booking system. Newmans dealt with this error both professionally and efficiently and we were made to feel at ease about the situation from start to finish. A massive thank you to your team at Devon Cliffs for helping to make our family holiday a fantastic experience, spent in 5* luxury; at no extra cost. It is not often you come across a company who genuinely make a mistake, accept responsibility and then go the extra mile to rectifying the situation, this alone speaks volumes! :) The lodge was outstanding both inside and out, cleaned to a high standard and included extra benefits such as laundry facilities, a fully equipped kitchen with quality appliances, an outside seating area (fully equipped) on the verander and a private parking space. The furnishings throughout were of an excellent quality and everything worked as it should and was to hand as you would expect. Our experience with Newmans was made easier as they are located immediately before arriving at the Devon Cliffs resort, meaning we were able to deal directly with the team. Once again the team were both professional and approachable, they made us feel welcome and showed us warmth. Thank you for a first great experience.
