After a few single day rafting and decent amount of experience with sit-on-top kayaking and SUP on flatwater as well as seawater, I wanted to extend into whitewater kayaking and there is no better place than Rishikesh to do that. I didn't have to do much research before choosing Expeditions India to do a Beginner level course. I was really impressed with the rich credentials of the lead instructor mentioned on their website and it kept getting better and better right from my first email communication with their team through my three day training on the river. The theoretical lessons, the drills on water and the conversations during breaks clearly reflected the instructor's knowledge, skills, experience and passion towards kayaking, rivers and environment. Highly recommended!

Expeditions India: SIMPLY THE BEST We had an opportunity to request the services of Expeditions India for the rafting part of our trip on our recent adventure in Rishikesh. Our guests spent 2 days on the river with the EI team, rafting all the way from Byas Ghat to Rishikesh on the Ganga. The first day was the peaceful, flatter section till Mahadev Chatti and the next day was the big action hitting grade 3/4 rapids like Daniel's Dip, the Wall, three blind mice, roller coaster and golf course. Anvesh Thapa and the EI team come with atleast 2 decades of experience in guiding whitewater rivers all over the world with Ganga being their homeground. The way they went about conducting the trip right from the word go, starting with friendly ice breakers and then moving on to a thorough safety briefing, drills and then the final act itself...is enough to put any sceptical mind at ease that they are with some of the safest hands on the river. The professionalism displayed, quality of equipment, eye for detail and the friendly manner in which the whole rafting trip played out was an absolute treat and was easily one of the big highlights of our trip. Anvesh is a true leader and has an amazing ability to involve each and every participant through the river run. Negotiating each rapid under his command is not just fun but a more informed experience. You are left overjoyed and feeling accomplished after every rapid. At the end of 2 days most of our guests seem to have become half river guides themselves, speaking and understanding the river lingo with ease. We would highly recommend Expeditions India as an exceptional whitewater rafting outfit, with passionate river guides with infectious enthusiasm for the river and the sport. We will continue to choose them for our river expeditions in the future. We wish them loads of goodluck to follow their passion, setting the bar high for others to follow without bending to market forces. Cheers!
