Today I passed my exam with Mr. Ludwig. He speaks good English and will teach you everything you need for the exam and more. With every lesson, he’s been very diligent in making notes of weaknesses and focusing on correcting them in future lessons. Out of my 20 years of driving experience, I’ve driven a manual car only for 5 years. Mr. Ludwig was very patient in refreshing my skills to drive a manual transmission car enabling me to go for the full license (automatic manual). If you are an experienced driver from outside the EU, you have to remember that driving in Germany is a whole new experience. And it will be more difficult for you to learn how to drive in Germany due to bad driving habits you thought were normal. And so it will take some time to drop such habits. I’ve taken 11 (1.5 hour) lessons and in my case, I needed that practice to get familiar with all the rules and signs in practice. No matter how well you know them in Theory (Having aced the Theory exam), applying them in practice is really different. If you are patient, open to learn, accepting and acting on feedback, you will benefit from Mr. Ludwig’s wealth of knowledge and will pass your exam. More importantly you will acquire the needed skill to drive safely in Germany and in Düsseldorf which is trickier being a main city.

The positive reviews must be fake. Michael Ludwig should not be teaching driving or anything for that matter. Having driven in several countries for over 20 years, I joined this school due to Michael speaking English as I was feeling uneasy about my German. Spoken language is NOT a good enough reason to join this school, and he does not even speak decent English. Michael is very temperamental and impatient. He would completely lose it over any small thing, and at those times when he got angry, he would get very loud, and for a couple of times, I was afraid he was going to hit me. This would understandably create an incredibly stressful situation. Some other reviewers said he took their self-esteem and even called him a bully. I sincerely believe these are fair statements. The hours I spent in the car with him are the most stressful times I have endured in years. As if this was not enough, he repeatedly received and made unrelated phone calls during the paid time on the car, which is not only disrespectful to the student's time and money but also potentially unsafe. I did fine in the exam, which I believe I would have easily passed after 2 practice hours in a different school and not the 12 hours I had to go through at this school. Avoid this school at all costs.

Worst Driving school. I took 10 classes (1.5 hr) with a one driving instructor. After all 10 classes he said i was ready for test but i couldn't get an appointment and had to wait for a month. After 1.5 month i wanted have couple of classes and go for the exam. I had to take the classes from a new driving instructor as the old one was not available. It was fine and in my first class with the new DI (Driving instructor) he started teaching me how to drive first. I already have my Driving license from my home country, I know how to drive a car. It was ridiculous the complete class he was teaching me how to drive. Really bad school just trying to make more money. I lost lot of time and money with this school. I changed to different driving school within 1 month and couple of classes i got my driving license. I strongly recommend not to go to this school especially for Foreigners.

It’s total waste of time. I’ve registerd in this driving school and i had 4-5 sessions with mr.ludwig . He took my self confidence and I thought that I don’t know anything although I was driving for 10 years. He waste my money and time just to teach me how to use clutch instead of teaching me the practice exam hints. I’ve changed my driving school and with 2 sessions I completely learn the rules which were new for me and I took my driving license in first try. I don’t recommend this school ,they only think about money.

Herr Ludwig helped me a lot to pass through Practical exam . I recommend him to everyone . He is very detail oriented and will make your driving experience very good . He is strict , so keep your ego out of the car when you drive . I had driven many years in my home country but Dusseldorf traffic & Germany rules are different . So keep patience and focus on what he says .
