This place is worth going to. Really worth going to. The decorations and the people are so inviting but even better is the food. Usually when a place is the only place for miles they don't try that hard and it shows. Not the case at the Chatanika Lodge. The cook is a master of the fryer, wings, corn fritters, cod, catfish, fries, onion rings, all came out perfectly cooked, delicious, and distinct from each other in terms of flavor. The wings are dry, and I don't like dry wings, but these were amazing, spicy, and juicy on the inside. The fritters are like a funnel cake and perfect with butter and honey. Both the fried cod and fried catfish were great and you can clearly taste the difference between the two fish. Really just an amazing experience and one well worth having.

Decided to head out for a late breakfast a few days ago. My girlfriend and I both had the chatanika omelette with home fries. It was so much food, we were stuffed! The home fries were the best we've had in all of Fairbanks. The drive is beautiful. The owners are amazing and care about their customers!
Chatanika Lodge is one of my favorite spots in interior Alaska. It encompasses Alaska! The inside is full of mounts and Alaskan paraphernalia that they even decorate for Christmas! We had a great time there a week ago. Its a great venue with plenty of room for events.
Amazing service from the owners, Ron and Shirley. The atmosphere is authentic and the food is great. If you come to stay the night, expect a smaller, dated, room. However, they are still cozy and worth the money.
Friendly staff and owners excellent food and atmosphere. By far our favorite place to hang out! Ron and shirley are absolute amazing people and down to earth! Love it here!

This is truly a "destination" bar/restaurant; Well worth traveling 100 miles out of your way to visit. The food and drink were exceptional and the staff very friendly.
