The covenant five stars. Not many receive this from me. But for those that do earn it not by just taste. It is earned by service, quality, presentation, and other details that hit my eye. The staff are friendly and fast about taking care to the patrons. The food is simply.. delicious. Fresh seafood and good taste. No salt needed. I got the crab salad, smoked salmon chowder and crab roll. Wow. Beyond wow. The wife got a quiche. I will be back.

I came across the Chowder House while I was visiting Fairbanks Alaska if you ever find yourself there you will not be disappointed. The friendly staff, affordable menu and amazing food made this a memorable lunch. Started off with a cup of their smoked salmon chowder that will put your taste buds in over drive. Then had the Crab rolls which was fresh and plentiful.
Like so much food here, hard to complain, but hard to get excited. The clam chowder was tasty but definitely not the best I've had, and the crab salad sandwich best described as solid. Not terribly memorable but the flavor profile was nice enough.
Tried the New England Clam, Smoked Salmon, and Hungarian Mushroom. All 3 were pretty good. Good consistency and thickness, and nice balance of flavors with one small exception, which was a lack of salt. A little light salting would push these to excellent, but thankfully that's easy to fix on your own.
Great food and a relaxed and bright atmosphere. If you’re looking for a casual place to have lunch with fresh bread and wonderful soups/chowders, this is definitely a great place to visit!
Dinner took a while to come out but once it did it was delicious! The chocolate cake is to die for!!
Homey atmosphere. Would be a great lunch place. Have an excellent assortment of desserts as well.
Food is delicious. Salads are large with lots of vegetable variety.
