Giving a try to check if Global Bistro! Simple options at affordable cost. From February 4 2019 Open from 10 am to 7 pm Monday to Friday and closed on Saturdays for time being.... The signature bowls are now no more but more focused on Sandwiches, burgers, California burrito, chicken wings, fries, onion rings and soups. The place catered a job fair I went to and everything was flavorful and delicious! They are located inside VIU and parking can be a bit difficult when there are a lot of students in class.
It would have gotten 5 stars but when you can't deliver what you're advertising... not good. Out of important items like steak, greens and ketchup for goodness sake. What the hell!?!
Great food but this place never Ever picks up there phone. I don't understand why. It's very inconvenient my husband has to drive there to place an order and wait instead of calling a head.

This place is brand new, but definitely worth checking out! You can create your own bowl with rice and/or greens and there are plenty of toppings from which to choose. The quality of food is excellent and variety is great. I particularly like the dressing/sauce options. I attended the Grand Opening, but I'm looking forward to going back as a regular. There are also great sandwich options if you're just looking for soup and a sammie. The veggie sandwich had eggplant and was quite good. I'm not a vegetarian, but I can see that being my sandwich of choice. Side note: I'm not a coffee drinker, but there's a big selection there if you are. Overall - great quality food, good portions, and a great value (a bowl will cost you around 9 depending on your meat choices).
I had a great experience. I spoke with the owner and she seemed really nice and receptive. The menu selection looks excellent. I look forward to trying more entrees in the future.
