I came here for unbearable nausea due to covid. Everyone from the front desk, to my nurse Erika, to Dr. McKenzie were so down to earth, professional, helpful and efficient. What makes me want to give them more than 5 stars is that the place was completely empty. When I got there around 11am on a Saturday I was the only patient. Service was fast and effective. I didn’t know this ER was an option and I was about to go to the main INOVA ER on gallows road which when I called, had 50 patients show up that morning. Will surely recommend this location to everyone I know. 10/10!!

I was very impressed with the excellent care my father received at the INOVA Emergency Room at Fairfax City! Dr Motalib was very kind, compassionate, empathetic and patient with my dad who had a laceration on his head and was very confused! The nurse, Christi RN, and Vicky, ER tech were awesome as well! In fact, everyone from the escort who met us at the door to the receptionist who admitted Dad were all exceptional! I am sorry I did not get their names! Everyone explained things to my dad so that he could understand and the doctor’s sense of humor put us both at ease! I am amazed, with all the pressures the staff have to endure, that they are still doing their work with a smile on their faces and reassuring words! I commend and thank them all for the excellent work done in such challenging times. My prayers are with you all! Sincerely, Debbie Barnes RNC, Retired

Came with 10/10 pain. Pain was not addressed and ignored, staff was rude, doctors were unprofessional and didn’t assist me at all. Left with more pain, increased frustration and anxiety, and an expensive bill. 0/5 Stars.

Never again we'll come here, the reception ( Bolivian man) claimed to be in charge refused my entry to go into the ER room with my husband. The resident/intern doctor said no worries let her in. This man wanted to call security to get me out. My husband was very upset, so we went to Fair Oaks Hospital. What a difference, nice people.

Honestly the worst bedside manner I have ever come across. Just a little heads up for the doctor, Dr. Hermes, patients can hear everything you are saying so when you are making fun of a hystarical patient for coming in (a CHILD at that), those who are waiting behind the curtains can hear you. Also. Why prescribe pain medication when a patient says they are no longer in pain? Seems a little unnecessary to me. ALSO, why not ask the patient where you want the subscription sent to instead of making them drive further than they need to? Please save yourselves and go to another emergency room if you can. It's clear the bare minimum is the best they can do here and even that seems to be too much.

Best kept secret is Inova's little ER in Fairfax City. Usually no wait. Always excellent care.

I took my sister there very sick and they didn't bother offering help they gave us a couple of forms that my sister couldn't fill out because of her condition but they didn't care about a woman named Victoria M. She was the least kind she told us that if we wanted us to go elsewhere. Be careful with this person I have lived in fairfax for more than 17 years and I have never been treated like this especially by someone who is in charge of my health. I have worked with great people from Fairfax County and this should not happen for an individual Fairfax is a great county.

Sad to see so many low ratings. Yes it can take some time to be seen at times, but that's because the staff are triaging patients. I've been three times. Once the staff were all AMAZING, met me at the door as I was struggling to stand on my own and escorted me in, called me by name and were very calm and helpful, even taking some time before discharging me to make sure I really was okay. Another time I needed stitches for a very deep but overall small/minor cut. Took some time (eg. needed to be numbed twice before doing the stitches because it wore off the first time; other people needed to be seen more than I did) but the doctors and nurses were very good to me. The third time was less than stellar, but it was also late at night and I'm sure the staff were very tired. It was more of insensitivity than rudeness, and especially after my first stellar visit I was surprised. Overall, I am very satisfied with the care that I received at this ER.
