Just Joined the GWT Visited Whelford Pool Nature Reserve for the first time today. Lovely place for doing a bit of Wildlife spotting. The hide was a great place to sit and watch the birds. We also enjoyed the walk around the Lakes following the public foot path. We enjoyed our visit and will return.

Welford Pool Reserve owned by Gloucestershire Wildlife Trust. A Great Nature reserve this for the Bird watcher with 1 hide & a couple of Bird Screen hides & a bench on lake 111. Free Parking for up to 12 cars. Please Take your Rubbish home and Respect the Bird Hides so that others can enjoy this place too. Sadly in 2020 the other Bird Hide on Lake 111b was vandalized and burnt down by Mindless idiots. Public footpaths lead off the Reserve over a bridge to the Neighboring Welford pools Nature Reserves. To extend your walk. Unfortunately the paths on the public area are not disabled friendly.

Lovely quiet place for a walk. Paths well marked and had recently been cut back. There was some building work going on which look like could be future holiday homes so hoping that wont spoil the area but if you want to walk some where quiet and look at nature this is a good place

Small car park, dogs and wheelchair friendly paths. Shame there are developers building holiday homes around the neighbouring lakes, but, otherwise a lovely place to walk around.
