Overall rating: 4/5 If you could smell the aroma surrounding this busy block - that buttery sweet and smokey goodness just warms your soul! Not surprised for the queue outside the store. They bake and cook their goods fresh to go for the day until sold out. Their display window is a huge bait, tempting me to order all their glistening pastries, miso cookies and chicken toasties. Too bad there wasn’t any pastrami kraut & cheese croissant that we were looking forward to. Got lucky, grabbing the last Rockwell pie for the day, and boy was it worth it. The flaky spectrum falls in the extreme, as their golden puffed pie hats was just so full of texture, even tasty on its own. Each element of the pie was made to perfection - the crunchy integrity of the crust, the flaky hat, the smoky hot mince beef. Personally, I think the flavour tasted beyond your classic double smash patty burger. We ordered the special burger sauce on the side, but it wasn’t needed at all - it made the overall flavour too salty. While my sister loved the flavour of the pie, I still found it a bit too salty alone. Concept and complexity of the pie was worth it all, but not sure if worth 9! Would love to return here to try their beautifully smelling sourdoughs and pastries! Taste: 4.25 Value: 4 Ambience: 4.5 Service: 4

Outstanding bakery - clueless customer service - they are obviously aware of themselves, but couldn't care at all about customers. A simple request to prepay for half a dozen hot cross buns is too difficult and I'm told I have to come back at ten - so off I go to Laurent for the best hot cross buns you can buy both before and after ten in the morning - how to go from five stars to one.

Ordering online is easiest, and I didn't have to wait in the queue to pick my order up. Cannot fault the hot cross buns! Amazing. Only reason I wouldn't give it 5 stars is because it's really not a nice spot to stay and eat your treats. When I picked up my order at 11am, there was someone passed out outside, and the seating inside is quite limited.

Speedy service on Easter Sunday, fresh hot cross bun, tasty coffee, lovely staff. Egg sandwich was ENOURMOUS, so full of goodness! Can not recommend highly enough.

That was A chicken sandwich had a good amount of fresh chicken, mayo mix and fresh salad. The bread was a sourdough with some sort of rye with the right amount of chewy bread, crunchy crust. The Rockwell broccoli was to die for. Milk bun yeew

Falco was recommended to me as the ‘best chicken sandwich in Melbourne’ and it really didn’t disappoint. The chicken salad sandwich is made on a bread that’s perfectly soft with a crunchier crust, and has just the right amount of ingredients. Worth a visit for. Their other selections are also great, I recommend the salted choc chip cookie but you really can’t go wrong with anything here.

Tasty cookies (peanut & miso / choc chip walnut) washed down with an iced coffee - perfect combination on a sunny day.

Pastries are delicious. The pie was the best I've ever had.
