Staff are great. We had them design and fit a new garden which is amazing. The showroom gives you great ideas and is well laid out.

Hidden charges, staff lying about number of hours on site, multiple revisits to complete simple maintenance works, charging all clients for travel to and from their site, even though multiple client visits in the same area one after another. Quite simply their business is changing. Once quality of works, client care and satisfaction were the focus. Now its all about getting as much money as possible from every client. Questionable business practices and completely immoral at best. You would be doing them a disservice to use them and endorse these bad business practices. They need to learn that there are options out in the market, many ex staff, who do a better job at a better price, with a thank you.

I approached Hambrooks in 2018 to provide a garden design and quote. Over an 18 month period they sent four designers, this by virtue of the fact that each was either fired or resigned before finishing the job. Simply bizarre. All I have left to show is a preliminary draft and quote, numerous apologies from Hambooks by e-mail for the AWOL designers and finally, a rather shabby, ill considered reply to my request for a refund. It seems I will have to find some other means for recovering 245 for work that was, by their own admission, never completed. Note there are similar reviews, so there is seems to be a pattern of this kind of dishonest behaviour in respect of design. All I can end by saying is that these are difficult times and there are plenty of hard working and honest garden centres far more deserving of your business and you should go there. Note Hambrooks are conspicuously absent from trust pilot and don't seem to have embraced any quality assurance system that uses customer feedback. Best avoided.

Friendly helpful staff. I had a garden design done here which was a reasonable cost. The cost of doing the landscaping however was much more than 2 other quotes which were almost identical. I would however use them for the planting.
