This trail is partially a disused train track, it is very good under foot and is used by walkers and cyclists alike. We spotted some brown trout basking in the sunlit Meon river. This is a very back to nature kind of place. Take the kids for a long stroll to tire them out, parking for this trail is Wickham Old Station Love it... Dave n Jill
Lovely walk! I'd never been in 50years. Beautiful and some amazing history!
Love this walk, although be aware of cyclists, runners and horse riders. Also watch the time as it's a long straight walk, so however far you walk you've got to turn around and walk back! Wear your wellies if we've had a lot of rain.
A lovely walk and cycle path, especially when dry. I recommend waterproof boots or wellies when there has been a considerable amount of rain as the path near the car park gets waterlogged and further up the path turns into a mini stream with run off water. But a little rain never harmed anyone as they say! A leisurely family cycle ride is best left for drier months, unless the dirt doesn't put you off, in which case crack on with your 29er mountain bike Haha! It's a dog friendly trial but it's worth pointing out there is access to roads and private gardens, plus it's a popular path for other dog walkers - so maybe best left for dogs that respond when off lead and are friendly with other dogs.
