Doesn't accept payments through atm in 2020?! Busses always run late never comply with the scheduled times, schedules are super hard to follow through the website, be aware of these issues when you are boarding. Workers will be nice and patient however bosses need to be less frugal!

For all visiting east Algarve, from a Portuguese traveller. Related to Covid-19: the company is working at half-effort despite the first wave having already passed. Lines to the interior are closed and not foreseen to reopen, even when the rest of the economy is already at full summer intensity. Note also the difficulties of the company to have things straight: they could not say which bus lines they would have active on july at the end of june (lady at the ticket store would stare at me for finding this rather puzzling). General: schedules on website are never correct, no map of lines on website, no one ever answers phone. The only way you will understand how buses function is to get to the station and ask very patiently. And I mean insistently and very patiently. Costs of tickets are also extremely high. If you will be in faro mind that a simple bus ticket to the beach will always cost you 2.50 euro. Multiply that by two and the days you are staying. If asked by a rechargeable ticket ladies will, correctly, say that it is useless: you can buy one for three euros but you will still have to buy specific bus tickets at the same price. As such there are no \areas\ as it is the case in all transport systems in the world. It's just as if we were in a far west in the company despite being in western europe. Note also the scarcity of buses. For most lines buses are very scarce and you will probably have 5 hours maximum to visit say Albufeira or other seaside city (no mention to countryside). You will always have to return early. Please be aware not to remain stranded !!!! As to the ride: please be ware there is no air conditioning. Keep an eye on your exchange of money. Once I had to demand a 5 eur note from a bus driver when I gave a 10eur note. Summing up: consider renting a car scooter or else. The company is not reliable, the service is bad and people are not nice. Keep an eye to your miney.Do not rely on EvaTransportes.

Terrible service. We accidentally left luggage on the bus from Faro to Albufeira. We rang Albufeira and the person who answered was rude and dismissive. She told me to ring back later and when I did she was again really rude and asked me why I kept calling. I told her I was calling back to give her my number so she could ring me if the bags were found and she just said no. When I asked what I was supposed to do then she said call back later and hung up on me. To be fair at least she answered the phone the numbers for Faro and Customer Service just ring out. Terrible service.

We would like to recommend Eva buses. When we arrived at Faro Airport there was a very friendly man helping everyone to get on the right bus. He works for Eva and helped us buy a ticket. The bus was nice and spacious. Highly recommend!
