Johda' - a place for water conservation In ancient times sources of water were scarce In case Shekhawati which is basically an area of sand dunes all around wells constructed by the rulers was main source of water . Ground water was deep due due accumulation of sand and difficult for general public to construct an infrastructure to fulfill water needs Also monsoon rains were limited in this areas due to the distance from sea. Thus these step well were considered to be better for collection of water in rainy season for future use. In today's context govt is taking steps to conserve this place There has been a long time that renovation work is going on in this place, there has been arrangements for sitting here Greenery is being increased around it with plants and grass. It's free to visit for anyone Parking is free Photography is allowed Neat and clean environment It's just 100 metres from national highway just have a look, If you find this helpful please put a like on review Thanks for reading

A nice stop-over at Bharatpur. Nothing special about it though. Its not maintained very well. There was hardly any water in the Baoli. The Government or the tourism department shall make some effort to make it a tourist attraction.
