To be able to step on the place where our St Virgin Marie walked so many years ago and prayed was something that cannot be explained into words. One must see with its own eyes to understand. Very emotional and spiritual place.

I visited the church recently only to find out that in order to take photos, one needs to go to the patriarch and receive permission. Of course, I left with no hesitation. After further investigating, I found out a few of my friends have visited this place with daily tours and the tour guide has put money in the church carer's pocket, so this way no permission required or whatsoever. I have actually visited a few Orthodox churches in the city before and taking photos was okay, maybe some places restricting it no-flash which is understandable. I find it quite sad how one or two dodgers within the church earn their pocket money via misleading people in a very cheap way. Thankfully, the city is not at short of Orthodox churches. I suggest if you ever encounter a situation like this, leave without hesitation.

It’s beautiful church loved everything about it.. except the Priest and people that attended it I’m catholic visiting from USA Me my Mom and my friend went to Friday morning mass We stayed the whole mass did are prayers when it’s was time to get communion the priest refused to give us we just went and stood to the side and was confused why did he do that I asked a man that works there he said because we are Catholic my mom still went again got the bread and said to the priest why did you do that we all believe in same Jesus... shame on them I visited Mosque with tour and the people I did the tour with were Muslim treated us better... the priest should put a sign on the door that says only orthodoxies are allowed in this church. I’m gonna forgive them just like Jesus forgave us all Amen
