Always friendly and the place has a homely feel.
Lovely little social club. Nice real ales and ciders.
Really good club I visit every time I'm in Plymouth staying with my brother and sister in law .every one seems to be very friendly no waiting for a drink and if I haven't been down for a while they want to know how I am etc
Quiet private members club, but popular with Camra members and local residents. Always have a superb selection of Real Ales of which are kept in superb condition. For those who like a 'wee dram' the Whiskey, Malts and Bourbons on offer are second to none, from the most commercial to the more obscure from the Highlands of Scotland. As the Fawn is a private members club, one will be comforted knowing that the price range is inexpensive compared with other establishments. For the sports fans, 2 screens will provide all the live action from Rugby union, Premier league football, Golf, Horse racing.... In fact, whatever the sporting event you won't miss a thing! The Fawn also has various teams playing Darts and Euche on most weekdays. Sunday afternoon is the popular meat raffle with 10 prizes up for grabs, and only 1 for a strip of raffle tickets, followed by cheese and biscuits, of which are donated by regulars. Also available most days of the week are pasties and steak pies, probably the best I've tasted, and only 2.40 each! There are also a varied selection of bar snacks available behind the bar. Although there is rarely any live music, apart from charity events, the Jukebox is frequently updated and have every hit from the 50's to present day, and even obscure artists and music from all over the world! Always a pleasant atmosphere and warm welcome from customers and staff.
