Rusty Russell

Dr. Castilla is an accomplished guitarist and a great teacher. He relates to all music styles and teaches using a variety of methods such as word pictures, feelings, rhythms, precision techniques while at the same time making it interesting, challenging and fun. I always come away inspired by him to do my best. I've been to several recitals and see that he has this gift for all students whether young or old like me. :)

I feel like my child is getting a strong foundation and education in guitar from Dr. Castilla. We have been through a few teachers and Dr. Castilla is the best. He seem to take a lot of pride in what he does and he can come off as pretty serious and direct. That being said, my child was a little intimidated at first but warmed to him and his teaching style within the first 2 classes. He is kind and caring of his students.

If you follow Dr Castilla's instructions you will play better than you ever could before I had been playing for years and in a few lessons ,noticeable tonal improvement ,rhythm, etc serious as it gets and thoroughly enjoyable
