I made an online booking for a minibus transporter and got an automatic confirmation. When I went on the day to take the car it turned out they do not have it available. I was advised to make a new booking for the next week. I did and again got an automatic confirmation of the booking. The same thing happened - they did not have the car available, so the confirmed booking was canceled again. Tried to call Avis customer service for explanation - no one was answering the phone and was put constantly on hold. No response to emails at all. Amazing. One star is because there is no option for zero.

I was a bit afraid to rent a car here since the bad review on Google. However i was quite forced to book here because it is one of the few car rental open till 23:30 and i needed to give the car back in the late evening. Everything was perfect, the car, the operator was really kind. I had a full insurance so i just took the keys and went to the car (a bit annoying to get to the parking underground). Based on my 1-time experience i would recommend it!
Hello, I had very bad experience tonight at Avis Graz airport. I made an reservation via internet before my arrival. I arrived Graz airport around 19:30 at evening. After that I went to Avis agency to get my rental car but the person in the agency refused to give me a rental car and he told me that \my Credit card is not acceptable and post machine refused my Credit card\. After that I went to outside and took a taxi to go to hotel. I used my Credit card for the payment of taxi and hotel. My Credit card is absolutely working. I need a rental car to go to one of my supplier but I don't have for the moment. Sure I will complain to Avis in France. I rented a car in Poland and Slovenia without any problem this month. It is sure that I don't want to rent a car from AVIS any more. Kind Regards Taylan Kirli
Comparing to other renting companies, Avis/Budget is unprofessional. They charge you twice the renting fees, they let you wait 10 days to get your money back. When you call their customers service, they yell at you, disrespect you and close the line on you. I got a very bad service from them twice and they have an unfriendly customer service. I strongly don't recommend it.
Very unprofessional and unfriendly. Renting cars should be easy and comfortable. In this company they charge money for their mistakes!
If I could put less than 1 star I would! Customer 'service' doesn't serve. They overcharge for a mistake and then AFTER they take your money if you call they say we will investigate and suggest a 10 day waiting period!! Useless system and unfriendly staff that hangs up on people. HIGHLY UNRECOMMENDED!!!!!!!!!!!!!
