Really good price for what there is here I'm surprised it isn't double the entry price. War music to listen to as well, which is a nice touch. We had a great couple of hours here everyone really nice and friendly. 1 small car park for the English Heritage, approx fitting 20 cars in. There is another public car park nearby, but you may have to pay separately for that. You are by the sea if you want to have a quick walk. Very interesting, the audio tools not available due to covid but they have put all the audio information onto a sheet of paper that you can take around with you as well as a map. I did get a little confused with the numbers as the plaque in the fort said to look for numbers 23,25 and 31 but they were nowhere to be seen. You definitely have to book before you come. All the guides and volunteers are very knowledgeable and interesting to listen to. A public bus goes by called Felixstowe flyers number 77. Lots of different rooms to look in, lots to keep the children entertained. There are picnic benches in the middle of the fort which you can bring your own for you to eat or there's a cafe and a gift shop. I'd definitely reccomend x

Great place to pass a couple of hours away. Not a pretty place but full of important history of the area and Fort itself. Staff very informative and cheerful. Toilets on site (porta Cabins) cafe and shop on site. Remember to book.. Well worth a visit.
Such a lovely walk, plenty of room to social distance and plenty of history to see. My kids (4 and 2) had a great time throwing stones in the water, jumping and climbing on rocks and watching the big ships come in.
It is beautiful and so peaceful,I love going there to clear my head
Fantastic place to come for a walk and admire the fort and it's old gun emplacements. Plenty of parking spaces and great views over the Orwell and into Felixstowe
