One of the best fishing lakes in the area with an onsite tackle shop and a very friendly bailiff who is always available to offer tactical advice if required, he even lent me a rod once when I brought the wrong top part (how good is that :). The lake itself is in a beautiful setting with loads of pegs with their own shelters in case the weather gets bad and more importantly there are lots of good-sized carp and silver fish to keep you busy. The only down side is it can get extremely busy, especially in the summer, you can however ring up beforehand and book a peg which might be a good idea when the weather is good. Definitely worth a visit or three!

Along with my grandson, I have enjoyed many many sessions on this fishery. It's all about what you have confidence in I know, but I find luncheon meat and maggots a good bait for the carp here. Some decent perch too. Venue is well looked after, plenty of room on the pegs and if you are lucky enough to grab a peg with one of the huts it's a real bonus if the rain comes. Looking forward to our next visit.

Stunning lake. Excellent fishing with good pegs, which most have log cabin for shelter etc. Plenty of peace and quiet. Lovely caravans for staying in on lake side. We've been holidaying there for 8yrs now. Baliffs always there for help and assistance if needed, specially Stuart.
