My wife filed for an order of protection against me (falsely) to keep me from my kids, and then filed for divorce. I felt like I was in a free fall, interviewed a lot of attorneys, and when I met Philip Katz I had a good feeling about him. He laid out a plan, gave me advice as to what to do, he ran to Family Court, handled the order of protection for me so I could see my kids again, and he eventually got me through the divorce (it took a while) with a pretty fair financial settlement and a great custody deal so I can see my kids and be involved in their lives regularly. Thank you so much Fink & Katz! I hope I never need you again, but I appreciate all you did for me!!

I first met attorney Katz at the Family Courthouse where I saw him fighting like crazy for a client in court. Being a single dad I came in feeling that the system was against me. It seemed to me that mothers always got what they wanted easily, and no one believed dad or gave dad a fair shake. Mr. Katz tried to convince me that was not the case and encouraged me to fight for more time with my son and more input into making decisions for him. He turned me from a pessimist into an optimist by the time the case was over. I was (and I am) enjoying a lot more quality time with my son, and my son’s mom can no longer keep me from getting information from my son’s school and doctors, and she has to let me know about major changes before they happen, and consult with me before making big decisions. Thank you Mr. Katz for your help! I still believe that the system favors women, but I also believe that with the right help a father’s voice can be heard and father’s can get a fairer shake.
