Very frustrating experience with this product. The unit and technology itself is sweet. I love the connectivity to my phone, the programs and all of the features. The problem is that the probes, at least the ones I received, are garbage and started failing after my first use One of them was not even in the meat yet, before I turned on the BBQ and it was reading ambient air temps at over 100 degrees when it was only 30 outside. The other probe was doing well for most of the cook, but on two occasions it went from showing meat temp around 120 or so, dropped down to -20 degrees for a minute or so, then popped back up. I have contacted customer service and explained my issue in detail, and they are telling me that I have to go through a process to prove to them that my stuff is not working correctly. They told me that they units are not supposed to be submerged in water, and not exposed to excessive heat. But they want me to put them in ice water to perform a test. How do I perform their test without voiding my warranty??? And a bbq thermometer probe is not supposed to be exposed to excessive heat???? Isn't that LITERALLY what they are supposed to do? What happened to trusting your customer and \making it right\? Clearly not the case here. I am considering returning my entire purchase, because I cannot trust what I get from the probes, so I've gone back to my 20 grocery-store special thermometer, which has not failed on me after 4 years of use. So frustrated. Would suggest people looking into this product instead go with MEATER or Thermoworks...I have heard that they stand behind their products! **EDIT TO REPLY TO FIREBOARD COMMENTS** I have been engaging with your service rep. I have also provided them with specific description of the problem as well as images of the screen of the unit showing the probes being all out of wack and awaiting a reply, however it will probably still run me through more headache and still not resolve my issue...

First off let me say, when it works, this is a great thermometer. Have used it about 20-30 times since I bought it. This past weekend, I went to charge the unit and the cable would not stay in the charging port. Upon closer inspection, the metal adapter on the board that the cable hooks into, has come off the board and was rattling around inside the unit.
Undeniably the best smart thermometer in the business. If you don't have one, you are missing out on perfection
