Amazing architecture in these buildings. Very crowded (beware of pickpockets). A very interesting place to see. this building is simply immense!

A masterpiece. Beware of local restauranteurs - it might be tempting to have a coffee with a view of the basilica, but they will rip you off and then argue with you and accuse you of lying.

Honestly, the 7,5eur charge is quite steep for the church and museum. I wish they told me what it went to, other than a doZen guards sitting around doing nothing. Anyways, the grounds are very nice, takes about an hour to walk it with taking photos. The flow is odd, with one section you have to turn around and repeat what you just looked at. Photos as of February 2020.

This was one of my favorite places in Firenze. If you only have time for one stop, this should be it. There are so many different parts to the SMN. Do not miss the smaller chapel and outside courtyard. There is also a small gift shop in the church.

Lovely church. Great architecture. It only opens at 11am. We will go tomorrow. Saw other post. The interior is quite beautiful. Definitely worth to visit
