Sufficiently close to the center of Florence and enough for a quick hop by to the city. All the information was seemingly enough to get on the right track and on the right train. Otherwise it's an ordinary train station.

Small well organized outside is a bar from where we bought bus tickets.
just love
First time I came to Florence - my train (from Bologna) stopped here, I needed to go to the station Firenze Santa Maria Novella. There is no other possibility to buy tickets only in the machine (at the time I arrived) - so it was a little bit complicated , but there was the possibility to pay with card.
A primitive station. Attention, passengers with big luggages please arrange your arrival time earlier because there's no lift, just a disabled passage, but around 5 mins walk behind the bar further down the main entrance, and with unpleasant smell. Oh and this station has no ticket office, only a shopkeeper helped me with a question.
This train station has at least 9 platforms, however it does not even has a waiting hall. People have to stay at the underpass to avoid the super cold wind in the cold winter.
