Part of me wanted to leave a 1 star review because I wanted to keep this place a secret. AMAZING!!! This was by far our favorite stop on our trip. It was like something from a fairy tale. We had the tower room and the views were incredible. A storm rolled in our first evening and we could watch the lightning flash over the city while laying in our bed. Great owners, and great service. Old world craftsmanship, beautiful grounds, and delicious food. Perfection.

This place is perfect! Just like heaven! The owners are very kinds and the staff as well. The room was amazing and really clean. No so far from Florence.... but calmer.
This hotel is gorgeous. It really is a castle. There had been a wedding there before we arrived (the flowers were everywhere, place is like a dream). It has a perfect little chapel and I think the villa dates to the 1500s. The staff is excellent, professional and nice. We had dinner at the hotel and all the dishes were so good. The grounds are a garden. The next day we cabbed to the Unesco site Villa Petraia and Gardens (see it) and back for lunch in the Fontanelle garden with a view of the city of Florence below us. It is a beautiful venue for a wedding and also for a quiet evening above town. The pool is really nice but it was a cool day - not too cool for some kids though. I loved this hotel. Elegant and comfortable. Everyone here was so nice. I know I'm repeating myself but it bears repeating; this place is a joy.
