The staff was super friendly and helpful. They even have a range in the shop to try out new (or in my case "New to Me") bows. I am an absolute beginner and I felt like they explained everything well and did not make me feel like a bother for asking questions. Hopefully when work permits I will be out to try some of their classes. Keep up the great work guys!

My 13-year-old daughter received a lesson as a Christmas gift. This was a great experience. The instructors provided individualized support to all students. We will absolutely go again! I highly recommend.

My friends and I are new to Archery, and all staff here treated us very well over several visits. Even though we likely looked like fools, overconfident in our opinions we got on the internet, John (and John) treated us with respect and patience as we worked through what we really wanted and needed for our first bows. We felt no sales pressure, and the process was very chill. They have a comfortable couch and chairs which were clutch for our family as we waited for bows to be set up and adjusted. We came on a very busy night and then also on a slower mid-day, and both times we had a place to sit and wait as needed. Two of us have pretty significant physical disabilities, and John seamlessly helped us select bows and equipment that worked for us, without any feeling of us being coddled or overprotected, and certainly without any feeling of being overlooked or underestimated. Very cool people run First Flight, and it will likely be our spot for many years to come.

Went in with only the knowledge I wanted to get a good bow to practice with and eventually start hunting. The gentleman in the store was very busy, fixing people’s arrows, setting up bows and such. He made the time to come over and explain everything and answer every one of the million questions I had. He really listened, and gave me multiple recommendations at different price points. Never felt pressured to spend more than I wanted. If anything, he was suggesting cheaper options until I got more knowledgeable about what I was purchasing. After the purchase set up everything for me, and took me back to the range. Gave me basic pointers to get me started and then told me I was free to stay and play around as long as I wanted. Even threw in a free case for me to carry everything in. I couldn’t recommend these folks enough. They truly know what they’re doing, have a passion for it, and won’t make you feel any kind of way for being clueless. “Everyone’s gotta learn sometime and somewhere” is all I ever heard come from him with a smile. Only place I’ll ever spend money when it comes to archery.

My wife and I got our son a bow for Christmas because he had fun learning about them in scouts. There aren't too many spots that I've found to go shooting at yet, but I was happy I found this place. First Flight is primarily an archery store. They have all the fun things you would expect- including very helpful staff. The range is an indoor archery range located in the back of the shop. It has 20 spaces for folks to line up and shoot at targets. From the red line to the wall is 20 yards. There are also large targets on wheels that can be moved closer if you're new to the sport. Everyone who was shooting was nice. They all focus on what they're doing, but they are all intent on safety too. When everyone has shot their arrows, there is a pause and someone calls clear so we can retrieve arrows. There aren't any bows to rent so you'll need your own to shoot. This was great for my son- he had a blast and wants to go regularly.

Had a great time learning a new activity! The owners were very personable and made sure to help each student. Already scheduled a return trip! If you're interested in learning archery at all, you have to give these folks a try!

3 years ago I walked into John and Lesley's amazing shop not knowing anything about archery. Years later, I have purchases 3 bows (Mathews Tactic, PSE DNA Pro Series and a Galaxy recurve) along with an assortment of accessories from FFA. They are always very helpful with good advise and wonderful coaches! Now, my children and I shoot in both their JOAD and ADULT classes and attend tournaments. John and Lesley have made archery enjoyable and something I get to do with my children -- For this I am thankful.

You know you’ve come to the right place the moment you walk in....Wether you’re looking for gear or just starting off into Archery this is where you want to be. I began with their Archery 101 course and was immediately impressed with the wealth of knowledge that John and Lesley brought to the table. You can trust without any doubt they have your best intentions in mind and will guide you down whichever path you find yourself in the world of Archery. I’ll be starting the adult courses on Tuesdays and couldn’t be happier I found this great place to start my adventure and continue to hone my skills. Thanks John and Lesley, you rock!!
