Stunning 2,000 year old mosaics sensitively presented. Exhibition starts with a museum to set the context for the building of the palace, complete with presentation boxes of small artefacts. The artistry and variety of the mosaics is amazing. The herb garden is an interesting external visit. Entry would have been smoother if it was possible to pre book online.

One of the premier Romano-British sites. Built for a client king by the Romans and excavated in the 1970s this site boasts some of the best mosaics in the country. The museum shows the different building phases and excavation. The original palace was so large that only 1 wing has been excavated and part is hidden under more recent buildings, but this is still a large site with a covered viewing gallery and extensive grounds. Regular events provide more Roman history and context and are recommended.
Nice little museum with some beautiful mosaics and interesting history. Some of the mosaics are quite heavily damaged, but it's incredible they've survived as long as they have. The size of the palace and the scale of work that would have gone into it's construction is incredible. Well worth visiting!
Love the place. Fascinating subject matter. Staff were lovely and welcoming. Fun activities for children. As with many places clearly adversely affected by the current global malaise, but they have clearly taken steps to make people safe. Just one complaint, every bin was crammed so full that you couldn't get anything else in them. Notwithstanding this minor point Fishbourne is well worth a visit for both adults and children.
Great place to visit. Very interesting. Amazing how big it is. Good activities for kids. Friendly staff
