On our way back from East Texas, we made a stop off at this hidden Forney gem. They were technically not fully reopened after the snowstorm of 2021, but that didn’t stop the lovely staff from being extremely kind and accommodating, providing my husband and I a private tour and tasting. The wheat whiskeys were delicious but the happiest surprise was the vodka! What a delight! A kind and knowledgeable staff, we enjoyed our tastings and a beverage each with good conversation in the lovely cedar planked bar. We purchased three bottles (one will make the perfect Father’s Day gift) and were spoiled as our tastings and drinks were provided free of charge. If you’re in the area, be sure to check out this great local business, but beware the road leading to the distillery- it’s a doozy!

On a whim we drove out to Five Points Distillery! This team is amazing!!!! The tour guide Amy was very knowledgeable of their product and production process. This small distillery in Texas, produces some award winning spirits. If you’ve never been to visit, I highly recommended a must. I look forward to our next visit to partake in making our very own whiskey!!!!

Five Points hosted my husband's 40th surprise birthday party and it couldn't have been a bigger success. The master distiller toured our party of 30 around the distillery and was extremely knowledgeable. The tastings they put together for us, along with the customized cocktail menu was over and beyond. Brandon was extremely helpful in coordinating and making sure the evening went smoothly and he has a ton of connections so all of my needs were met. HIGHLY recommend this place for your next private/corporate/etc. event!

A Warm Welcome to A best Wheat Whiskey Yet We traveled to Dallas for a hockey game and my love for whiskey caused us to wander. Having a whole open Saturday my wife booked me a whiskey tour at Bendt Distilling. The tour was good and I grabbed a bottle of their Rye whiskey. Their bourbon was basic. I expanded our tour of Dallas Distilleries. Our next stop was Lone Elm. Here we found the best dark beer ever they were sampling and the best wheat whiskey ever had. Bill gave us a tour and tasting of their offerings. We were very impressed from start to finish on the flavors their beer and spirits offered. The beer was just a batch not in the market. If it was it would have high praises. The wheat whiskey is better than Weller reserve and Weller 107. Better than any wheat whiskey I have tasted. So complex an unique. Give it a try, you will see the unique quality and flavor.

Went by this weekend and thoroughly enjoyed the time at Five Points. Very local operation, but big presence in both distribution and what they're doing with the whiskey. I can only imagine this is how distilling should be - friendly people just doing their thing and bringing whoever wants to be a part of the process along for the ride. I was poured some really delicious options in the tasting room that are only available in the tasting room - be on the lookout, the Rye, which was only 8 months old was already absolutely delicious. Fair warning - the drive up was a little confusing as to where to park and where to go, but in normal Texas fashion, we just parked in the most obvious place and I poked my head into an open door. Expect to spend only 30-45 minutes, not really a hangout experience unless you bring the crew with you. But, well worth the experience.

I've actually toured this distillery and enjoyed sipping the Lone Elm Whiskey. The distillery is about a half-hour from Dallas and makes for a fun outing with friends. Logan Miller, the head distiller, is knowledgeable about his product and enjoys showing folks around the property. There are even fun events on site, like this weekend's BBQ festival. If you get a chance - stop in for a laid-back afternoon enjoying some smooth whiskey. Highly recommended.
