The place name Husby has its origins as far back as the Viking Age, while the word Hole means hollow or hollow road, and there are still some of them in the area. One of the most beautiful goes north from Husby and towards Skårhøj. The hollow roads came from driving with herds of horses or oxen. The wheel tracks gnawed deeper and deeper into the hill. In the Middle Ages, nobility and church fought several times over royal power, but in the early 1440s, the then chaotic conditions created the conditions for a peasant uprising against the growing aristocracy. In several places in the country the peasants revolted, but they were quickly defeated. The decisive battles came to stand in Hanherred. Several contemporary written sources mention the events of June 1441, but not in detail. The oral traditions and a folk song tell that there was at least one blow in the area. Archaeological finds show that there are probably teams in history. For many years a farmer had plowed bones into the field at Sct. Jørgensbjerg, and in 1964 a large grave filled with human bones was found - probably the remains of the rebellious peasants. A large granite stone is today erected to commemorate the peasant uprising in 1441. 500 years later, the stone was erected on the highest point just above the hollow road and inaugurated at a folk festival after the end of the German occupation in 1945. Nature area with marked hiking route, which goes around Husby Hole, approx. 3 km long. Brochure can be picked up at VisitJammerbugten's 3 agencies in Fjerritslev, Blokhus and Brovst.

Fascinerende sted der emmer af historie. Landets stolte bondebefolkning blev knægtet og var næsten slaver i de næste flere hundrede år
