I highly recommend Floor Coverings International if you are looking for a company to install a kitchen backsplash. They were helpful in scheduling my install and able to complete the job in a timely fashion at a very reasonable price. The install crew did meticulous work (completed in one day) and I was most impressed with the professionalism demonstrated by Bob Cool in making sure I was satisfied with the results after the job was completed. They will definitely get my business for any future tile work needs at my home.

This is an updated review as of 2/23/21. I previously had this company at 2 stars, but I am updating it to 4 stars. I love my floors and would definitely recommend this Company!! The only issue has been the follow up on repairs and corrections. I had to make several calls over several months, but the Owner has consistently showed that he is eager to correct all issues.

I have had a very negative experience with Flooring International and I cannot recommend them to anyone. I chose them to replace my old carpeting with new engineered hardwood even though their prices were higher than other vendors because their references were very good and they gave me a written warranty. The problems began when the wood was delivered to the house to be acclimated. It sat in the boxes instead of being taken out and allowed to acclimate as required. In addition the amount of wood ordered was in error so that the job could not be finished and was delayed until more wood was ordered. My house sits on a concrete slab so the amount of moisture in the slab needed to be measured prior to installation to ensure that the wood would not be damaged. This was not done. Over the next month or so we began to notice discoloration and molding in many places in several rooms. I took pictures and sent them to the flooring International, Bob and asked his opinion. I requested that he have someone come and tear up a section of the wood to see what was happening. He did not respond to me, so I hired someone at my own expense to remove a section of the wood. Then I had a leak inspection company come, again at my expense, to give me an opinion on the damage. It was evident that there was moisture damage in the floor. We also examined the removed wood and saw that there was brown paper inside the engineered wood which of course reacts negatively to moisture. This is definitely a poor quality product. So I’ve spent considerable money to diagnose the problem and still, despite having tried to contact Bob for over a month
