We decided to use this doctor as our son's neurologist. The appointment went great and we were feeling like we found the right person to help us. During the course of the appointment, I happened to mention that the neurologist at Children's Hospital had left and that is why we were seeking out a neurologist. We made a follow up appointment and went away feeling great. Before our follow up I needed to reach Dr. Grossman. I called and called and got no answer. I'm thinking that's weird because we have an appointment coming up. One day I get a phone call from Children's Hospital telling me about their NEW neurologist....Elliott Grossman and they wanted to know if I wanted to get on their extremely long waiting list to see him. Are they serious? Well maybe he is working there and at his practice. Well I soon found out he applied and was hired and left his practice high and dry. No one ever got a call from his office saying he was leaving, no one offered a new doctor if you had an upcoming appointment. After repeatedly calling and my appointment date had passed, a message was finally put on his service that the office was closed, later a flyer came in the mail telling us about his move to Children's. Really? What about all of your patients and families who depended on you? You just said screw them. And before you ask why we didn't just make an appointment with him at Children's, you've obviously never dealt with that place. If I call today for an appointment, I will get scheduled immediately...for an appointment 6 months from now. If you wait your 6 months and the doctor has to call out, you don't get rescheduled for a few days later, you could be looking at another 6 months wait. Very unprofessional doctor and I would never recommend him.

I went to Dr. Grossman’s office to have my son checked out. The receptionist was nice and Dr Grossman was helpful and took his time with us. I would give the experience a four stars, if it weren’t for the administration/front desk. At the time of the appointment, I asked them to confirm their receipt of referral from my PCP. They told me that everything was in order and, if anything was missing, they would let me know. I never heard from them for three months which is when I received an invoice from them. I called my insurance inquiring as to why I received an invoice and was told that there wasn’t a referral on file and that given the time that elapsed from the date of service, nothing could be done. About a year has passed since this happened and I have called Dr. Grossman’s office numerous times. Three times I have spoken to the receptionist who has told me that I will receive a call back from the office manager, which has not happened. I have also left them repeated voicemails asking them to return my call and have never received a call back. Today I received a call from a collection agency. This has left me very frustrated as something is broken in their admin / front office departments and there is no accountability. In summary, I had no issue with Dr. Grossman. I found him pleasant, knowledgeable and patient. I would however avoid this place as dealing with the front office / admins is a complete nightmare.

We owe this doctor a debt of gratitude. We brought our child in for a suspected case of ADHD. Instead of rubber-stamping this diagnosis, after a variety of tests, the doctor diagnosed no ADHD, but more protein in the diet was required. Therefore, our child was not subjected to a lifetime of unnecessary drugs. Our child's GPA increased dramatically this year and without medication. Thank you Dr. Grossman!
