My mother, godmother and I went on this tour during a vacation in Italy last summer and it was easily one of the highlights of our trip. The tour was so extensive, so fully of history and culture and most of all FOOD! We ate so much at every stop and enjoyed such a variety of options, each one just as if not more delicious than the next. Our guide was so kind, personable and knowledgeable, and so passionate about what she did, it enriched the entire experience all the more. Would highly highly recommend!

Food tours are our favorites. This was one of the best ever. Our guide Giorgia was passionate, knowledgeable and has an effervescent personality. And she took an interest in us as people and not just tourists she was herding from site to site. We learned a lot and enjoyed many different types of local oils, wine, beer, espresso and food dishes. Skip breakfast and come hungry. Oh yea! we saw great sites such as Trevi Fountain, Pantheon, Piazza Navona, and Campo De' Fiori Market.
This was a wonderful food tour that was the perfect blend of tasty foods and historical anecdotes. Giorgia was AMAZING! Her warm personality and deep love of Italian culture and food made our tour so special. Giorgia's tour was a highlight of our week in Rome!
We enjoyed the food tour with Mario very much. We had 3 different food tours during our recent trip, and this one was the best. The food was good, and there was a good mix of information/sightseeing vs. food tasting. Mario was great, with an obvious passion for the area that he transmitted - we particularly appreciated his skill in making our 7 year old daughter feel included. She really liked the tour, which I think says a lot. All in all, we are very happy with the experience we had with Mario.
I have actually been on two tours with Food Tours of Rome - once back in 2016 and in November of 2019. This is a great small group tour which takes you to authentic places that you normally would not find on the tourist grid. Great times, great value and knowledgeable guide.
