First of all let me say, if you are looking to shoot a gun for the first time look no further. My hubs and I had a awesome experience training with Ben today. He is incredibly patient and a great instructor! Learning to properly handle and shoot a gun was on our bucket list. With turning 60 and Father's Day we decided to get started on this fun journey together. We found Ben and Artifex on Yelp. We read the reviews and decided to go for it. Today we met with Ben for almost two hours. We both felt much more comfortable with the gun after working with Ben today! We plan to get more lessons and we would love to get our family together for a group lesson. Bottom line Ben is great and I wouldn't recommend going anywhere else!!

I had 18 total hours of pistol training (elsewhere) and 2700 rounds of practice at the range. And yet, I couldn’t fix myself from shooting low right (southpaw). Watched many videos for tips and tried MantisX as well with no luck. Also shot with many different handguns and results were the same. Found Emily at Artifex on social media and had private lesson. Within minutes, Emily identified what I was doing wrong and instantly improved my accuracy! Now, I know exactly what/how to keep practicing on my own. If you want to improve on firearms training, don’t waste money on ammo and get proper training done by Emily! Thanks so much Emily and I’ll be back for more in the future!!
Took The AR fundementals class, great experience for an introduction to the AR . Instructors are great and help you along the way. For a beginner I feel Iearned a lot, and although I know this was just a basic intro, I feel more comfortable and confident in operating my AR and now look foward to a more advanced class. I wouldn't mind taking this class again either, it would not hurt to repeat and practice, and it was FUN!
I started my CCW permit process in late June of 2018 and was issued my permit on 8/1/2018. I couldn't have done it without Ben and Emily doing what they do. I e-mailed Ben many times to get information and he always responded back promptly answering all of my questions and concerns. He helped me write my good cause letter to make sure that I did it correctly and I greatly appreciate that. I highly recommend them for your CCW training. Thanks again Ben and Emily for the excellent training and I will be back for advanced training when the weather cools. 10 stars if I could give them.
Ben and Daniel are outstanding instructors. They’re very accessible and personable while sharing their breadth of knowledge on all aspects related to firearms. They run the range professionally and most important safely. I just attended their Tactical Retreat. What an amazing experience. Long range, short range carbine, low light pistol, combat lane, and trauma med all rolled into a two day class with a camp out at an exclusive private area. I highly recommend Artifex to anyone looking to get started with firearms or fine tune their skills.
