Best kept secret in Oslo area. Sorry no photo, the Burger was soo good! It was gone before I could get my camera ready. A true 5 napkin burger with home made Kimchi.

A return visit after another trip to the Fornebu testing centre. Still very happy with the food and service. And this time I remembered that they have vinegar. Ate them in the car on a day that was really cold and windy. Reminded me of being a kid back in England and stopping off somewhere for supper. Highly recommended, after what is my fifth visit now as I live the other side of town and I'm not down here so often.

Hands down the best fish'n'chips in town. And I wish There was stiffer competition, because The Codfather would've still claimed that throne. I would go so far as to say it's the best I've ever had. If we're to talk about hidden gems in and around Oslo these days, this is precisely that. Hopefully not hidden for too long, because there has seldom been a place that deserves a line outside, quite so thoroughly as The Codfather. If you're into scenery and setting, the place is situated in a container Village, is accessible by wheelchair and has a place for Kids to play right outside the door. Seriously legitimate stuff.

The fish was of superb quality and was cooked to perfection. But the fries were a bit soggy for my taste, and the crust/batter had a somewhat oily taste to it. My companion agreed on my view on the fries, but was super happy with everything else.

The fish & chips was good, freshly made, crunchy and not too salty side dishes were nice too. The guy was kind and switched for us one of the side dishes like we asked you order from the booth, then there is a nice, little, heated and cosy shack you can take your food and enjoy it, looking out on the surroundings. Meanwhile there is not very much on the menu (and not tab water either, so if you want to drink they sell soft drinks) but hamburgers are coming soon..

I had the fish deep fried in beer batter. The fish was perfect, crispy, juicy and fresh, sorry a good taste of fish and the batter. The fries are thick and they were super nice and nicely seasoned. It didn't take long before I got my order either. The price is 169NOK, which is a good price, considering the portion size and the taste. The service is very good here and the staff is nice.
