I believe this is one of the first times I’ve ever been treated fairly when it comes to the court system, regarding what going on in the world right now, it really makes an impact when own your consequences and recognize that handling your legal issues in a respectable manner goes a really long way. Not that I’ve given Judge Wood a reason to be patient and fair to me with how long it took me to handle a minor infraction; he cast out all fear that NOT EVERY court in the in the US would be prejudice to a man of color. He’s a good man, and Ms. Tori was a beacon of patience too, just mind yalls manners when you appear in court. Hope this review helped relieve the queasiness of having to go to court in the first place

I was in court recently and was inclined to do a review on the court, staff, and judge. Although this is a court people should not mistreated or spoken down to. I felt worthless after leaving here. There are a bunch of evil unhappy people that work here. I understand that court employees deal with a lot. At the same time I’ve been to other courts in Charlotte and received much better service. Judge David S. Wood is unhappy and hates his job. He also hates black people. He spoke to the white man in the trial before me much nicer. When he got to me he was very very rude, insensitive and made the most nastiest condensing unnecessary comments, replies. He attempted to violate my rights by not informing me of the bench trial when I requested a jury trial. I asked for more time to prepare my case because I was told I was having a jury strike—he violated my rights to due process for a FAIR hearing. I do plan to file a complaint again Judge Woods to the South Carolina Judicial Conduct Commission. Often times judges try to move eviction cases out swiftly. However, judges should not violate your rights when doing so. In most cases, tenants without an attorney get evicted. Because I was not aware of a bench trial my attorney was not present with me. The judge attempted to proceed with the case anyway—and that is not fair or proper court procedure.
I am still awaiting the decision from judge David Wood. Judge Wood treated me very condescendingly. When the attorney from the other side interrupted me he allowed it and switch the case to her client. When I tried to interject a misstatement by the other side Judge Wood tried to humilliate me like I was a five year old child by telling me not to interrupt that I should know better and on and on. I felt like a dog he just kicked! He would not allow me to admit documentation to substantiate my case ie: a Home Inspection report done 5 days before closing by a licenced Home Inspection company, House Masters that had pictures, emails disclosing an 18,000 water damage claim and other documents. At the end of the trial he scorned me again saying I called and emailed so many times that is why he wouldn't grant me a continuance to obtained legal counsel because the other side did not file within the 60 day allotment. I told him the only reason I called and emailed is because most of the time I never got a call back or email response. I live out of state and need to arrange for work and pets to attend court. Judge Woods is not a fair judge and should really consider another line of work.
They never answer the phone when you calling about anything.. only way you can ask question is the day of court when you finally in front of a judge
