I went to the Center and had the most helpful person. The person helping me said that the people that work at the site do this on a volunteer basis. After reading the other reviews, I would say that it would be frustrating if I went to the location and know one was at the site. Lucky for me this was not the issue. I will need to go back to the site and I hope it will be as great as the experience I had today. The gentleman I spoke with also said that they run on donations when explaining the charges. I thought the charges reasonable to me. I gave a little extra when I bought some items, and had copies made for me of obituaries. Bought some Cemetery booklets. My plan for the next visit, I will go to two sites if time allows. Linn and Bourbon County.

I called and left a message for them to call me back since they are closed due to covid-19, and are open by appointment only. 48h later they call but I can't hear any sound so I said that and ask them to call again. They didn't so I call them and the phone was busy. We are traveling through the area and only had a couple of days to visit the society, so I'm very disappointed about this experience.

My husband and I live in upstate NY and are driving through Kansas. My husband’s family is from the Uniontown area. We were excited to read about this library and delayed our travel day in order to access the library when it opened at 1:00. It never opened and the phone went unanswered. Very, very frustrating when it was our only chance to access this information. I see a previous reviewer had a similar problem. Clearly, whatever group/organization behind this “service” does not take it very seriously. Therefore, please don’t advertise regular hours if you are not committed to having someone there.

After phoning yesterday to confirm availabiliy, it was very disappointing to drive some distance and find the location CLOSED and no phones answered today during posted OPEN hours.
