This old village is wonderful. An unusual round green, surrounded by covered marketplace. Several small restaurants and boutiques. There are walks arojnd the outside walls of the village, beside a canal, and a newly planted park of fruit trees. Delightful.

The main square, lined with cutlery and half-timbered facades, is circular. This form is very rare for a bastide or a castelnau! Erected at the end of the 13th century, it passed continuously into the hands of the English and the French during the Hundred Years War. Today, the village of Fourcès is an astonishing site that charmed us! We stayed there for a couple of weeks - friendly people, the peaceful atmosphere and tranquility - stunning village well worth a visit
