Best chandler in Suffolk, one issue only. It should move to Brightlingsea. Very helpful staff looking forward to my next visit. Sales guys are very friendly and happy to help.

My experience of Fox's Yacht Sales has been nothing but great. Their team were friendly and helpful from day one and there assistance throughout the process of buying a boat has been gratefully received. Being new to the area, and coming from the South Coast, I wasn't sure what to expect, but having viewed a few boats in the area, and also on the south coast - i will certainly be return to Fox's when it's time for an upgrade.

Bought our second boat through them. Good to deal with. Straight forward advise. Both times we enjoyed the experience.

Initially the deal looked good, free lift out and three months free storage. However things started to slide very quickly - the description of the boat had no sale content at all and I was obliged to send them a complete rewrite. Later I found an article in the 'Yachting Press' about the boat and it's design, sent it to them for inclusion in the web article but despite numerous reminders they never bothered to add it. They have an area for boat sales called 'The Bungalows' - this is some way from the main sales area and not sign posted. After a while looking, I eventually found that my boat had been moved there and was completely obscured by boats front and to one side and a large ship's container to the other. When I complained, I was told by them that where the boats were put was up to the yard and they did not drive the boat cradle. On speaking to the yard , I was told that this was an untruth and they put the boats where they are told to by the brokers. Having sold a house recently, I can honestly say that I had more emails from estate agents in the first two hours that the house was on the market , than in the 18 months that my boat was with Foxs Yacht Sales . My personal experience is that the two brokers are totally lacking in any sort of proactivity - they are inclined to be rude when challenged and the veracity of anything they tell you has to be doubted. In short - FYS - not with a barge or any other sort of pole. - Oh and by the way if they don't sell the boat you pay back the lifting fee (240ish) and three months storage (500ish) plus of course all the money that has been wasted as the monthly storage charge - in my case the final bill was about3.5k Their biggest problem is not just their idleness or dishonesty - it is the fact of them having no passing trade.
