Fab museum very interesting and the guided tour around the lighthouse was brilliant , sorry can't remember the female guides name but she was really good . Had lunch in museum cafe after, excellent food and service . All the staff were lovely and friendly and all seemed genuinely happy to be working there . Great day out plus the weather was excellent just to add to the day . Highly recommended

This was a fun tour. We had a nice guide who filled us in on the history of the lighthouse - built in 1787. And we got to go up into it, including seeing the mechanism that turns the prisms around the light. The lighthouse was built inside an abandoned castle!

Well worth visiting the lighthouse to get s real feel of bygone days and learning some of the history. Probably the best museum of it's kind worldwide

Awesome piece of history. Stevenson lighthouse built into a castle from an earlier time. Sad wee story of death and drowning can be found nearby. Well worth a look. Bit windy tho.

Stunning representation of period style lighthouse still in fully functional order. Great views from on top of the lighthouse and also very interesting guided tour with a very enthusiastic guide who is very knowledgeable about his trade. A definite must see. Ensure you stop at the most North Eastern point of Scotland to see this.
