It's very accessible,if you live on post. It has everything you need. It's clean. People stare more than at a regular gym. I'm only slightly embarrassed to admit I enjoyed \buns and guts\ class They have an employee there that constantly engages gym goers with side conversations. If you ignore him he does become aggressive. I reported the incident to Fort Detrick PMO and the aggression escalated to physical assault. staff was generally unhelpful with dealing with the situation.

This gym is not a bad gym. Most of the people that frequent it are nice, friendly, and act appropriately. Surprisingly it's the staff that is the problem with this place. I have had several incidents where I've been at the gym late right before closing and am almost the only person there other then staff and a couple of women. During a couple of times there has been a specific staff member talking to the women and using coarse unnecessary language. Now I'm not some prune here and don't care about cussing, but this staff member was dropping \ bombs like they were going out of style. It was ridiculous and appalling on so many levels. 1. That he felt the need to try and impress the women he was talking to be dropping the \ bomb and 2. That he felt so comfortable with that kind of language in a public space like that. The most recent incident with the staff involved one of their younger people who was working out. He was being ridiculously obnoxious about his work out. Literally yelling in the gym \oh God oh God oooooh God!\ That was him during his entire workout. Other people were looking at him crazy and one woman working out said \being a little dramatic aren't you?\ This did not stop the guy from continuing with his antics. The last part involving the staff is how unfriendly they are. They rarely greet you, don't say anything to you when they are walking around, and are just very cold. There is a definite click with some people but beyond that small circle the staff could care less about you. Final thought. Not a bad gym and decent facilities, they have an indoor pool which is awesome! But their staff really make it hard to stay and workout sometimes. They need to get them under control and quickly before someone files a complaint.

Small gym but packs a lot amenities that are hard to beat within the area. Some staff members could work on their \customer service\ skills. Ms. Teresa and Donald are excellent and extremely helpful.

Walked in and straight away the staff was friendly and helpful. I was meeting people to play racquetball after class. The staff gave me a tour and showed me where the courts were without having to ask. Facility was clean and gear was in good working condition. Beware the lights on the court take forever to turn back on if you accidentally switch them off. The parking lot is a little awkwardly designed with a lot of the parking behind the building in the shade. I was very cold after working out. overall great facility.

The most widely use facility on Fort Detrick Maryland clean organized well-managed outstanding service and is the most used by veterans benefits. Please extend the hours of operation good health starts at the gym.
