My mom got her wedding dress from here about 5 years ago. After getting engaged myself, I wanted to try here first. BIG MISTAKE. I'm set to be getting married in August of this year, and went here to try some gowns on with my best friend. I had called beforehand to make sure I would not need to make an appointment. When we got there we were treated as if we were not important. There was another lady there trying on dresses with her family and both of the staff members were helping/socializing with solely them during my visit. I had made a comment about one of the dresses being very pretty and was quickly told "oh, that is a size 6." I was very taken back by that but brushed it off and continued to try the dresses that my friend and I picked to try on. While trying on one of the dresses and looking in the mirror and speaking to my friend, the one sales associate approached me and asked when my wedding was. I told him and he then said, "Oh, well at least that gives you time to lose some weight". I was mortified and felt like crying then and there but I quietly changed into my clothes and my friend and I left the store. I will never return or recommend this place for anyone.

Do not use these folks. I visited this boutique a few months ago when I began planning my wedding. The "gentleman" that greeted me said he would answer any of my questions. I mentioned that my wedding was set for the summer of 2018, which was a full year and a half away at the time. That's when the problems began. He proceeded to belittle me over and over again as loudly as possible. He also called me, among other insults, a "moron" for planning so early. This was even after I mentioned that I have family in the military, so planning ahead is important. He continued to make sexist comments about women and weddings. At that point, I'd had enough and excused myself. As I proceeded to leave, I overheard this individual making rude comments loudly to his customers. Saying "Sorry that took so long, some idiot is already planning a wedding that isn't for another year and a half." Mind you, I held my tongue as much as possible. All I wanted to get was a general idea of dress costs and simple styles to help set my budget. I sent a message to the company a few hours after the incident, providing an even more detailed description of what happened. They did not even have the decency to give any indication that the issue would be addressed. I'd been reticent about posting a review for this horrible place directly, but I just learned that my brother is being deployed to Iraq in a few weeks and needed to indicate to his superiors when he'd be available to leave for a six month tour within the next twelve months. He'll be missing his both of his daughters' birthday, Thanksgiving and Christmas. All of this to be able to attend the wedding that "I was stupid to start planning so early."
I bought my wedding dress here and the staff went above and beyond (without being overbearing) to help me find the perfect gown. They offer layaway, which is a plus. Accessories are also available as well as bridesmaids dresses and tuxes.
I'm not sure what everyone else is talking about. I was recommended this place by a good friend who only had a high review. When I went in to scope out the place, the ladies there were very nice and let me look around and gave me information to take home and look at. I went back in the following weekend to try on dresses. They gave me a few minutes to look around with my mom, sister, and one of my bridesmaids. Then one of the ladies looked at the dresses I had picked out and picked out a few more with the similar style and set up a room for me. She helped me with any dresses I needed help with. She went and found shoes to try on with the dresses so I got the idea of what I would be wearing on my wedding day. I ended up going with a dress that was a little over my budget, but they ended up taking a little bit off to get it under my budget and gave me a discount on the shoes that I liked. I had an absolutely wonderful experience, and the ladies there were wonderful.
Lorie is AWESOME! She was so helpful, friendly and amazing customer service. I recommend this bridal boutique to anyone. Thank you so much for all your help!
Buyer beware of this place. My wife was a bridesmaid in a friends wedding. She went to get sized (she is normally a size 6). They made her get a size 10, even though she asked for an 8, because it's their "company policy" that they decide the dress size. It fit horribly. Oh and btw they don't do any exchanges or free alterations. You will be paying for that to when your dress inevitably doesn't fit. One last note: the place is ridiculously overpriced. Almost 300 for a bridesmaid dress!? What a joke. All this for a so-called "Christian company".
MY sister-in-law told me about this place because this is where she found and bought her dream dress. When she took me here, I was a little worried about price since they aren't a huge store and because I was on a tight budget of 500, but hoping to only spend 300. I had found 2 dresses at David's Bridal that I really, really liked, even loved, but the quality of dress was terrible. The fabric was so see-through, you could see all the seams all the way down the dress and it just ruined it for me. I would have stopped shopping then and bought that dress, but I just couldn't get over how crappy the quality was. So when I went here, I was determined to find at least one dress! I found THE ONE and I couldn't be happier! They gave me a good deal on it and it is HIGH quality fabric!!! I can't wait to wear it on my wedding day! I'm so lucky and happy that my sister-in-law told me about this place and was nice enough to take me there! The total was 579, so I paid 500 and my sister-in-law paid the other 79 because she was just so happy that I found the dress!!! I would recommend this boutique to anyone! They have a lot of nice dresses for decent prices (depending on your budget of course), and they don't hound you like most dress shops do. I am extrememly picky and take my time with this kind of thing. I tried on a few dresses and probably stood infront of the mirror with this one on for over an hour and then I RE-TRIED it on that same day and the next day. Everyone should at least visit this place, it's a nice atmosphere and a lovely shop!
The building may be older and tucked away in Fredericksburg, but the trip is well worth it. First of all, they carry Maggie Sottero! So if you are looking for an illusion back or vintage glam, you will definitely find it here. Kim and her staff are ready to help you and have years of experience and expertise in fitting and picking out the style you want. Please do not miss this extraordinary shop! The designers they carry are fabulous! You will find a great blend of couture, traditional, and modern.
