I am responding to the 1 star rating below. As someone who worked with Jerry and his amazing staff for over 11 years I feel the need to tell you Jerry and his team have a very specific step by step process they follow for every client. The not filing right away you are referring to is actually their 4 day holding period. After you come in to sign your taxes you return is held for 4 days just to be on the safe side incase they get that last minute call \Hey Jerry I forgot to tell you I have another w-2 or oops! I forgot to tell you I sold my house or oops! I forgot to tell you I contributed a large sum to charity Oops! I changed bank accounts 6 months ago\. As you can see a bunch of things can happen and from their experience its better to hold the return just a few extra days just in case they get a call. On the 4th day its promptly filed. The IRS release refunds usually on Thursdays so whether you filed on a Monday or Friday you would have still gotten the refund on the same Thursday then guy who waited a few extra days. Now if you called H&R Block after they immediately filed your turn you can bet they will charge you for that. Jerry however would not. Jerry always goes above and beyond for his clients I can assure you if you need any additional assistance from H & R block they would nickel and dime you Jerry would not. I rather wait just a little longer to insure accuracy any day. Rant over :)

Jerry did my wifes taxes for the last several years and for aome reason he doesnt efile them right away. Freedom sends out a confirmation paper with the date he actually submits his completed and paid for returns and the date was 2 weeks past when we met and paid for her return to be submitted. This year he told my wife that the irs was not accepting returns until mid February despite the tax season opening on January 27th this year ! We took back her paperwork as we knew something wasnt right and went to h&r block the next day where there was absolutely no problem with the irs accepting her return! Jerry is very full of himself and smug with his matter of fact attitude and is in no rush to do his job. Dont waste your time with this service unless youre in no rush to get your refund !!
