Damn fine school for kids who are motivated and want to succeed in life, given that success means WORKING for a living. John Locke is one of those kids who expects the school to cater to his every specific need. Also there is no racism amongst the staff .The only thing I can see might be a problem here is that some elective teachers can let their opinions get the better of them, but this also teaches the valuable life skill of \kissing ass\. Anyways, there are plenty of classes and the school participates in CART. Sometimes you may need to grab the staff's attention and tell them upfront your goals. In order for them to go out of their way to help you. The key here is for the student to be MOTIVATED.

Wonderful swimming facilities!
My son and family relocated from Atlanta, GA his sophomore year in HS. We chose West after visiting and frankly being recruited by other Clovis schools. Everything our son who is now a Sr. \earned\ he received from academics to athletics. He has a diverse group of friends and they all are equally motivated young people. Simply, no school is perfect but if your kid is willing to put in the work, ask for assistance and demonstrate passion they will be supported by West....which has been our experience. An excellent place to succeed and develop if you put in the sincere effort!
Currently attending this school. If I could I would give this school no stars but I have to give them one.. anyways the \staff\ not really the teachers care only about how the school looks to the public and other schools. They care about a kid getting really good grades but personally do not care about that kid. Unless you are a 4.0 student or a very good athlete you mean nothing to this school. People get in trouble for the slightest things and get kicked out the minute something happens. They don't stop to help the student and try to understand their situation or the circumstances, they will just get rid of you so you have no chance of ruining their good numbers and reputation. There are so many better schools in the central valley and even in CUSD that emphasize the importance of good academic and athletic achievement that also care about this student themselves. Not clovis west. I would not recommend at all!!
This school sucks, very racist, prejudice, pompous, and much more there are lots of sorry excuses of teachers and poor conducting staff members, this school has nothing better to do but brag about there stupid band, and sports, and lot of crap, the food is bad, the milk as rumored will give the \ runs \ which i never did try and not willing to and they say no making out, but guaranteed you'll see lots of kids making out and they see them but they will rascally pick the ones and get them busted, then for me i spent at least over 100 bucks on razors just to shave my beard which is a pain in the , even one little speck of hair they count as dress code offense, i would not bring your child here, not even a dog. they will likely LABEL YOU. Clovis West sucks if you want to go to a school that has freedom go to Sierra high ( mountain school)
