The refurbished iPhone I bought at Recommerce originated from Japan. And here is why this is a problem: 1) My phone had a hardware defect that Apple recognizes as a warranty case. However, Apple informed me that I should bring it to an Apple store in Japan and it isn’t sure whether I can claim warranty in Switzerland without paying an extra fee. 2) It is impossible to disable the camera’s shutter sound due to Japanese laws against voyeuristic up-skirting. This compulsory sound is always on, even if your phone is put on mute. Telling Apple that you live in Switzerland and Japanese law doesn’t apply to you does not help. This is really annoying when I want to take pictures in the office (e.g. digitizing documents) without bothering my coworkers. When I buy a phone from a Swiss company to be used in Switzerland I expect it to function like a Swiss phone. The international legal implications of buying a phone at Recommerce are not worth the headache. Furthermore I found the customer service unhelpful and rude when dealing with this issue. I wouldn’t buy from them again.

Handy bestellt, doppelt gelaufen, Rücksendung. Doch das Paket wird 2 Wochen lang bei der Post in Fribourg (?) nicht abgeholt. Geben auf nachfragen keine Antwort. Kauft lieber woanders. Grauenhafte oder nicht existente Kommunikation.
Viel Spass bei einem Garantiefall.... Wollen zuerst das Smartphone und nachher haben Sie kein Ersatz auf Lager. Sie unternehmen alles, dass si nicht bezahlen müssen und wollen dafür Gutschriften von Migros geben.....
Vorsicht: völlig unseriöse Firma. Habe ein gebrauchtes Handy bei ihr bestellt, der Betrag wurde mir auf der Kreditkarte belastet und es kam eine Bestätigungsmail, dass das Handy geschickt würde. Einen Tag später dann die Mitteilung, dass das Handy gar nicht mehr an Lager sei. Fazit: nicht empfehlenswert!
