Iglesia de Nuestra Señora de la Candelaria AD 1818. Located on Plaza de La Candelaria, Valle de El Golfo, Frontera. Interesting white architectural structure. The church's belfry called Campanario de Joapira AD 1957 was set up on the hill called Montaña de Joapira just behind the church. It is a very rarely used solution in religious architecture but practically justified in this case. Sound of the bell is better and clearly when sounds from Montaña de Joapira. Otherwise, Montaña de Joapira definitely would disturb Campanario de Joapira and church's belfry sound. The first Ermita in this place erected in 1615 by founder Capitan Blas de Acosta Padrón. Capitan Blas de Acosta Padrón was the first ruler of the Island. I was there in September 2019.
